BEFORE PRINTING, know this lure takes quite some assembly given wire and eyelets needed to attach the head, body, bait holder, and treble hooks. I used #4 hooks. You will also have to glue it together. I used super glue and gorilla glue. See the images for the wire paths. Note, the bait holder works like a screw. So when this lure is all wired and glued together, you screw an artificial bait into the headbangers bottom. This is the first version and I have only tested it once. See the images/videos for the action. By shear luck, I did manage to catch a white bass a with it. One hook went through both lips and the other stuck it near the gill. Sorry for the image or video quality. It is hard to manage a pole, a fish, and a smartphone, at the same time while in a kayak. Cheers! Tip: Add slightly more weight in the front so that the front of the body drops more naturally. Remember to mirror the models of one head and one body so that they line up. UPDATE #1 I added a second head with more curves to add more sporadic action. I added a second body type. It still uses two hooks. However, one hook is on the body and the second is exterior of the tail of the lure. This model does NOT use the screw bait holder. Instead, attach the bait between a wire and the end eyelet. I also added a wire template which can be used to form your wire outside of the models. If you enjoy my Things, please consider tipping. Thanks.
