This build is now compatable with all BTE Hearing Aids This (originally was) an adapter to connect a Phonak Bolero V BTE Hearing Aid to Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth headset. Story: Over the last few years, I had always felt that I was developing hearing loss in my one ear. It was not until this past summer that I learn the truth. I finally convinced by mother to get me hearing test, and I was exactly right—my left ear has had severe hearing loss since birth, and I would need a hearing aid in that ear to compensate. After three months, I finally had a personal hearing aid. They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and in this case, that was completely true. I like to listen to music, but I realized that Behind-the-Ear (BTE) Hearing Aids have a custom ear-mold over the ear's opening, and that the microphone, well, is behind the ear. This would mean that any set headphones would not be able to be used unless the unit was taken off. As I am prone to forgetting things (I also have ADD), I knew it would not work. So after multiple iterations of designs (Version 3 can be seen in the background of the cover photo), I finally arrived at this design. The Next Step: I am hoping to create a MakerBot Customizer so that all hearing aids and headphones will be supported. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .010 in Infill: Full Notes: This was printed on a uPrint SE Plus at my high school. (I do not own a printer.) This used a separate support material that had to be dissolved in a acid bath. Post-Printing Support Material Removal Removing support material is required after printing. How I Designed This This was originally designed in Autodesk Inventor Professional 2014 on a Educational License. The parametric version was made in openscad Updates Customizer is finished! Version 3 and 4 are now outdated and are kept for legacy purposes.
