#enabledby3d Project Idea #1: Headphone Entanglement Sean Corcoran, Sarah Dunn, Gillian DuPré Our solution to the problem of headphone entanglement is creating a box-like device in SolidWorks to 3D print that will prevent headphones from tangling by keeping each side of the headphones separate and confined so that the next time you take your headphones out they are not tangled. The outline for this device is a simple mechanism: a shelled, box-like container that winds the entire length of the headphones around four corner spokes to prevent entanglement of the chords. The headphone jack plugs into a port located on the side of the device and there are two pegs on each side of the apparatus for the ear buds to hook onto, which keeps the wires separate and limits movement so the chords don’t tangle around the box itself.
