Hearing Aid case for Kirkland Signature 5 Premium Hearing Aids, (which are the same size and shape as some other hearing aids) This is a tough little case that can protect the hearing aids from a lot of abuse. I was aiming for maximum protection with minimum size plus 2 sets of batteries. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .1mm layer or better Infill: solid Notes: Print: 1 main body; 2 lids; 2 battery holders; 1 set of supports, if needed The lids and battery holders are ABS; the main body is Taulman 3D PCTPE. I printed the 2 support pieces first, (I used ABS - anything will do) then removed them from the print-bed, and made sure they were clean and smooth. Next I put blue tape on the top surface of both support parts. Finally, while the main body was printing, I paused the print just before the overhang layer around the outside and placed the support ring over the print, tape side up; I repeated this for the central bridged area. I did it this way because I wanted very smooth areas for the lids and hearing aids to sit/set on/in with as little clean-up as possible and this seemed like the best way for the printers I have. Post-Printing Before use, I added small, soft, fuzzy bits of fleece to the lids and main body of the case where the hearing aids would touch, using double sided tape dots, to keep aids cushioned and safe. How I Designed This I started by scanning the hearing aids on my flatbed scanner and then importing the scan into SketchUp to give me the outline of the inside of the case spaces.
