Heated Build Platform Levelling Corner Supports

My old MBI HBP died an ignoble death, groaning and grunting before letting out the magic blue smoke. And as we all know, once you let out the magic blue smoke, you're cooked (literally... and then quite un-literally, unfortunately) So I made my own HBP - but the insulation was uneven and resulted in a horribly crooked build platform with a nasty tendency to give more on one side than the other. Very much inspired by: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3453 but to solve a slightly different issue - my HBP isn't a uniform thickness and doesn't have drilled holes in it! An upcoming remix will include my cable clip in one of the corners. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: Cupcake CNC Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15mm Infill: 15 Instructions Print the corner clips Use an M3 bolt, place nut in wider part of corner clip and screw M3 bolt through from the bottom Tighten M3 bolt to secure captive nut in cutout - you may need to use pliers to force it in the rest of the way once tightened (the plastic will start bending out of the way of the nut) Put a drop of superglue on the nut to hold it in place Attach two corners to wooden build plate, slide HBP into the tops, tighten screws lightly Attach last two corners and adjust all screws to be tight and have a level top Some of your screws may not go in all the way - this is by design! The corner clamp gets its vertical tension by clamping around the wooden plate and using the screw and captive nut to apply force to the top plate. The screw head does not need to be tight or flush for this to occur. It's horizontal stability is achieved by the screw through the top and bottom holes as well as the wooden build plate holes. The only way these could work any better would be if they had a spring in there somewhere - but then you're talking about even more height sacrificed from build area...
