Heavy Duty Web Belt Buckle

Heavy Duty Web Belt Buckle

When shopping for plastic web belt fasteners, it seems the only option out there are those side release snap buckles. So I thought I'd add another option! This is a heavy duty slide thru type buckle with a locking cam that, when pushed down, grips the webbing very securely. You can cinch your belt tight and will stay tight. This latch has three staggered rows of fine teeth that will grip even the smoothest webbing. I've used this with smooth seat belt webbing (that many fasteners don't grip well), and it does not slip at all! Works well with many kinds of webbing and elastic less than 3mm thick. The center bar of this buckle is removable which makes this ideal for replacing a broken or missing buckle on an existing strap. If making a new belt, you can sew together the loop the buckle goes on without the buckle getting in the way of the sewing machine. Files for buckles that take 51mm, 45mm and 38mm straps are included. In your slicer, these can be scaled up or down the Y axis to fit straps of other widths if needed. Files for matching end tips are also included. These will take up to a 2mm thick strap. Scale up a bit on the Z axis for thicker straps. Place a few drops of glue in the slot and slide it on to your belt end. Enjoy!
