I decided this great mask needed a bit more. Tearing apart a Rubie's Costumes Vader sound chip I was able to fit the circuitry onto the front plate and modified the mask body to add a void for three AG-10 button cells. I added a small switch that I had laying around (sorry - can't remember the source) and now have a self-contained mask with breathing sounds.
