Helmet headgear adapter/standoff

Helmet headgear adapter/standoff

I printed a large Spartan helmet that was quite heavy and unwieldy and needed a way to steady it on the wearers head. I found a welding headgear that seemed like it would do the trick, but needed a way to mount it into my helmet. I heat staked in a threaded insert (either M6 or 1/4-20) , epoxied the standoffs to the inside of the helmet, and then was able to bolt in the headgear. This should work well with just about any helmet as long as there is enough clearance on the inside to make it work. You may need to adjust the length of the standoff depending on the width inside the helmet. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RIFGE6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ^link to headgear^ Let me know what you think and post those makes! Thanks!
