I created a helping hands base for cheap soldering arm that I found on Aliexpress that comes with aligator clip to use it when building / soldering some stuff as a spare flexible Helping Hands tool. Link to the kit: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DeyGDz1 The thread size of the arm kit is 12,7mm (1/4"), I haven't found a base here for that size so I created my own for mounting these. Also created a split version where you can unmount the two parts of the base for more compact and easy storage. You can also use a clamp to mount the base on the table, but for me it works well even without clamp. If you want to use a bigger clamp I created a center cap element to print to fill the center hole and use a bigger clamp on the center of the base. There is a separate threaded element, which you need to print 6 times. I wanted it to be removable so if I decide to make an addon or mod to the base to be more easier for me to move the hands in different possitions / bases. These elements plugs into the base and you mount the hands in them. Hope this will be helpfull for you! Enjoy!
