This dual purpose bot is intended not only to be an awesome little bobble head mascot that is built entirely out of printed parts, and plastic filament, but can also be used to prevent the dreaded tangles in the filament. There are two main configurations provided, the first is just the simple bobble head that uses some remnant filament as the spring for the head. So after the robot is put together, the filament would be fed through the whole in the body and up through to the head. It would then be glued where possible. This should result in a nice bobble head action. For more bobble, simply put a larger distance between the head and body. The second configuration would be to use this as a filament management system. So this would be the same configuration but without the glue. To keep the head close to the body, the model has a small channel in the bottom face of the head, and another hole cut into the logo, where one could put fishing line, or common thread. Which would then keep the head just skimming on the filament a set distance away. There's plenty of clearance in the filament channel so it should be relatively low friction. To print the eye stalks, the face of the eyes needs to be placed on the platform, and built up that way to avoid overhangs. The mouth will have to be printed from the flat face.
