Hero Me / Orbiter Adapter for Ender 3

Hero Me / Orbiter Adapter for Ender 3

Hi, This is a remix of the HeroMe Gantry adapter, to allow the addition of an orbiter extruder. Only for use with Mk 8 style hot end (Creality OEM in my case). There are four files for the Gantry adapter. Two use M3x4mm Brass inserts (4mm OD), and the other two use captive nuts. For each type there is a basic file and one with the addition of some features to help with printing. They are bunny ears to hold the corners down without need for a brim and a single layer across the counter-bored holes so support isn't needed. Easiest to snip the ears off with some side cutters and drill through the holes with a 3mm bit. Additionally I remixed the Gen 5 base so that it can be used with the inserts also - I find the original way to fiddly to assemble without them. The base is the same crucial geometry as the Original Hero Me Gen 5, so *should* work with the rest of the components from there. For example, I'm using the original fan duct without issue. Printing: Probably best to follow the original HeroMe Gen 5 settings. I printed in PETG with 3 perimeters at 0.2-0.24mm layer height and 40% Infill (gyroid). Supports are not required for the gantry adapter, but the base will need some. Note - I did originally print in PLA but the Gantry adapter hot-end protrusion melted when my hot end fan managed to get disconnected. I went for PETG as I intend to enclose the printer soon.
