I love Dignan's insert that was made for Heroes of Land, Air, and Sea. I didn't love how much filament I was going to need to reproduce it though.. I'm currently working on adjusting the models so that they will use the minimum amount of filament but will still be structurally sound and functional. So far I have only updated the figures tray. More coming. I also include the remix that MainlyGames created to address the sleeved cards while also thinning everything there as well. A couple of MainlyGames' boxes were reduced in height and had the "Top of Cards" box removed as per the comments given by avatar94. When finished this will include all components needed to print this complete insert for HLAS. -Edit: I now believe this includes everything you need to print the full insert. I'm working on finishing printing myself. I will upload pictures once it is complete. -Update: I have now completed the print. Some of the figures boxes I have in the photos show the difference in width of the original model vs the thinned models. I didn't want to throw away what was still usable so the first few had the thicker design. All and all it came out great! Big thanks again to Dignan for his design and MainlyGames' contribution as well! ***Note = This has been optimized for printing at 0.28mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle! If you're printing with other settings or nozzles then your results may be off! Cura estimates the total filament required to be 1,240g at this setting. This is down from the approx. 2kg give or take that the original from Dignan would use. ***Note = This is a bare minimum level of thinning. Using PETG I have to make sure the bed is still warm to about 50C and use both a razor scrapper to start separation from the bed and then slowly work the common spatula scrapper underneath to separate it bit by bit. It will be prone to sticking/breaking on the bed if you don't take your time! Not sure how much easier or harder this may be with PLA. I also use a PEI sheet on my printer. So far they have all been able to be removed safely by myself and have yielded satisfactory strength. -Player Figures Tray = I modified this to include only two wall thickness and two bottom layers if using a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.28mm layer height. Works great! Takes approx. 44g of filament per Cura estimations. -Towers Tray = Same mods and settings as the Figures Tray. I figured I would take out the extra step up around the towers too again just to save on unnecessary plastic even though the original feature does look cool. Give and take. -Bottom Row Boxes = Print two. Same thin 0.8mm walls and two layer floors (0.56mm). Reduced Height from 100mm to 74mm so that the other boards and such can fit on top per comment given by avatar94. -Cards Box = Thinned the same as everything else. -Beside Card Box = Same thinned and reduced height to 74mm. -Bird Stand Box = Same thinned. I also thinned the supports for the flight stand box. -Flight Stand Box = Same thinned. You'll need supports for the step at the bottom. -Mercenaries Box = Same thinned.
