I was always dissatisfied with the original handles on the Heroquest torture rack, since they would clearly hit the floor before making a full revolution. When browsing stuff to make with my new 3D printer, I came across Pipoden's excellent torture rack (www.thingiverse.com/thing:3657953).

I wanted to keep my original rack since I'd painted it when I was a kid, and I wanted the superior wheel handle. One wrinkle, though: Pipoden's redesign uses a round male peg, whereas the original handle has a female 3mm square peg attachment. The solution was simple: I imported the wheel into Blender, and cut out a 3mm square hole. Printed in PLA, and fit snugly on my original torture rack without any post-processing except a quick zap with a blowtorch to melt off some minor stringing.

The uncut Blender file is included in case you need to tweak any dimensions: just resize the cube, then click on the wheel and "apply" the modifier.

This is barely a remix, just a minor tweak. All of the design credit goes to Pipoden.

Print Settings

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution:200

Infill: 100

Filament: Paramount3D PLA Skin - Deep Complexion
