This tower is a good tool for those of us who have an uncontrollabe sweet tooth. Personally, I have caught myself eating way to much candy before, during and after Halloween. To solve my candy problem, I made this candy holder. This holder has seven tiers, each of which correlates to the seven days in a week. So on Sunday of every week, you can fill every tier with as much candy as will fit on them. Then, on every day of the following week you can eat the candy that is in one of the tiers. That way, you can hopefully control the amount of candy you eat everyday! Instructions To make this tower, you simply print out this design using a laser cutter. Then you place one of the squares on the bottom (so that the hexagons have a flat top and bottom line) and glue two of the triangle pieces on the east and west sides of the square using wood glue. The you take another square and rotate it 90 degrees so that the hexagons on it have a differnt orientation (the pointed ends are facing up as shown in the close up of the square piece). If you notice, when you rotate the squares by 90 degrees on every tier, after you finish the tower and look down the hexagonal holes, you see a cool shrinking and alternating pattern. After that, you glue two more of the triangles using wood glue but this time, put the triangles on the north and south end of the square. That way you get a more asthetically pleasing pattern with the sides of the tower alternating from being open to being blocked. Note: be careful while gluing the wood pieces together and make sure you follow the instructions that are written on the wood glue.
