This simple box was designed as an educational project for my son, whom I worked closely with to ensure accurate measurements were taken and a thorough discussion took place regarding the final design after several paper templates were created and a test cut was made on the CNC. We used my desktop CNC machine by Stepcraft, which featured a spiral-toothed 2mm flute. After sanding, the box received a nice finish thanks to the application of hard wax oil.
