Hex Stackers

Hex Stackers

Hex Stackers are small clip together storage compartments for display or organisational use. They are easy prints that create a smart and unique stand up storage solution for small things... great for models/collectables, jewellery, your favourite small 3D prints and various bits'n'pieces. Printed on an accurate machine they clip together securely and can be stacked in a variety of ways to create an interesting stack. The fine tolerances required for these to join together well may challenge some machines so print a couple to check they work well on your machine before printing lots... they print really well in PLA on MakerBot Replicator 2's and 5th Generation Replicators. At standard scale each Hex Stacker is 50mm tall (flat to flat). They should be able to be scaled up if required but scaling down will reduce clearances so they may not clip together as readily. Hex Stackers don't use a lot of filament as they have thin walls but do take a while to print because they are all 'outlines' which print slower than infill... but the result is well worth the machine time. Print 3 or 4 to start and add more as you need more compartments. Please read the print instructions before printing. Note: If you like this check out all my other designs. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: Std (0.20mm) Resolution recommended Infill: 2 shells / 75% infill to make the thin walls solid / strong Notes: Works great printed in PLA on a Replicator 2 and 5th Generation Replicator. Raft recommended. No support required. Post-Printing Minimal post print work required... Remove the Raft (recommended) and check the slots are clear/clean.
