Hexagonal Gyro Dice (Dice in Dice)
grabcad
A hexagonal dice, which you can use like a gyro, for generating two random numbers in a new way. This dice has been designed with three plastic components. The dice numbers can printed on paper, and glued on the two dice. You can place the dice numbers in any order you want.A 3D printed prototype works excellent and I use it for playing BACKGAMMON, on a real BACKGAMMON board, against the computer version.I don't trust the internal random numbers generator, may be it is "faked" in favour of the computer.Let my dice "dance" on a rather smooth surface, watch the rotation until the end and take notice of the random numbers. For interested members, which are playing BACKGAMMON, the description of the computer:"Saitek ELECTRONIC CHAMPION BACKGAMMON"My one is already over 25 years old.A new "inverted" version of my model is available and it has been successfully tested on a 3D printed prototype. The new version has a lower centre of gravity. The assembly of the models are available in the STEP (.stp) format. All components of (Version 1) are available as STL (.stl) files additional.
