HGL15 rail system for BLV mgn12 3D printer mod. I had many issues with Chinese made MGN12 linear guide ways, after some time they always get lose. Changing the guide-way block fixes the issue for some time :), but since they are not very durable and good quality (at least the cheap ones I've got from ebay) after a some printing hours the issue comes back. They are also not as stiff as I would like them to be. So I decided to change the rail to a much better quality ones from HIWIN. Since the price of the 15mm rail system was cheaper than the 12mm HIWIN (at least in my area) I have chosen the 15mm. Beside the higher load capability the 15mm guide-ways are more stiff because they have 4 rows of ball bearings instead of 2. For the X axis I had redesigned the X carriage and the X sensor support including mounting feature for BLTouch auto bed leveling sensor. For the X axis I have used HIWIN HGL15CA rail block with medium pre-load ZA and HGR15RH rail. The X carriage I printed with 100% infill. For the Y axis I have designed the bed carriage, mounting elements, sensor support, sensor extension arm and the Y belt holder. The Y belt holder I have printed with 100% infill. You may use the caps to fill the empty holes of the rails, the original HIWIN caps are only for holes with screws. Otherwise oil will leak into the aluminium frame. Size of the heated bed I'm using: 220x275mm. For this you have to use the attached Z_2020_holder and X senzor holder to have bigger movement space for the X axis due to the wider bed.
