Hictop 3DP-11 Stationary Y Axis End Stop Mount
thingiverse
I was inspired by Kverb's "Hictop 2020 endstop mount" at Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1220317), but I wasn't satisfied with his design from the images; it just didn't look like it would be stable enough for my printer. However, he made a good point that moving the Y-axis end-stop switch to a stationary mount would extend the life of the switch. After taking some measurements and making a couple of iterations on the design, I came up with this one. Since I had an extra M5 locking nut and some M5 nuts lying around, I chose to use those to secure it to my printer. This new end-stop mount works fantastically well. I recommend printing this with the following settings in Cura: Layer Height 0.3mm Shell thickness 0.8mm Infill suggested Minimum 20% Installation Note: If you're installing on a printer that's already built, you'll need to remove one of the Y-axis guide rod end caps before installation. I'd appreciate getting some feedback; please leave a comment. New: M3 size version of the original design, as well as two easy-install versions – one for an M5 bolt and one for an M3 bolt.
