HICTOP Foot Extension for Printer Leveling

HICTOP Foot Extension for Printer Leveling

This is a very simple object to help level HICTOP printers. It's designed to fit under the rubber feet, and the height of the base is customizable (through the "Open in Customizer" link above) to fit whatever extra height you need to level your printer. If you're not sure how much extra space you need for leveling, I'd suggest downloading the pre-made STL file which has a 1mm base. It prints quickly, and you can then use it to calculate how much extra base height you need. Edit 04-March-17: the OpenSCAD file was modified to fix rendering problems in Thingiverse's Customizer, as well as in the quick renderer in OpenSCAD. Print Settings Printer: HICTOP 3DP-17 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Notes: Keep in mind that your print layer height, as well as any differences in height for the first print layer, will have an effect on how accurate the height of your printed foot leveler will be. Post-Printing If your measurements were slightly off, I'd suggest sticking a piece or two of paper into the cup to give the foot a little extra height. While these feet do print quickly, there's no point in wasting plastic. :-) I stick vinyl pads to the bottom of these feet to give them some traction. Printing in a flexible material might do the same thing, but I have yet to try printing in flexible materials.
