HIctop i3 Y Carriage Limit Switch Belt Clip
thingiverse
I revamped the y-belt clip and limit switch design. The original setup had the y limit switch situated in the middle of the moving bed, which led to wire breakages several times. To rectify this issue, I created a bracket that attaches to the y motor, allowing you to mount the switch securely to it. This setup keeps the wires neatly zip-tied down and eliminates the need for frequent repairs. The belt clip was also modified to accommodate m3 screws, which clamp down on the belts, ensuring they remain in place. However, it's essential to tighten these screws only slightly snugly, as excessive force can damage the ABS part. To enhance overall performance, I replaced the switch with an arm that triggers the y limit switch. For optimal results, I recommend printing the redesigned components using 100% infill with high-quality ABS material.
