Power casing for HICTOP Prusa I3. HICTOP printers supplied to date have inadequate insulation at the power supply. The mains voltage can be accessed inadvertently by hand. Children should not be allowed access to these printers. This power cover makes your HICTOP safer by adding a layer of insulation and add a mains power switch. This fits the models shipped in Spring 2017 with 24 volt power supply. It is mounted using two M4 bolts. The electrical inlet is supplied by CPC Farnell in the UK part number CN14758. You will also need to order a 5X20 quick blow fuse of appropriate rating and voltage (I use 5 amps/240v). The wiring requires 3 spade connectors and a short length of mains cable. http://cpc.farnell.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=15002&langId=69&urlRequestType=Base&partNumber=CN14758&storeId=10180 I have included the Fusion 360 source file. DO NOT MAKE THIS ITEM IN AN ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE MATERIAL. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Clone Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: 2 surface layers is adequate. Most of the print is surface so infill doesnt matter too much. Supports are not needed, the overhangs are easily bridged. Good level bed is essential for the large first layer. I have only made this in ABS. How I Designed This Fusion 360 Fusion 360 file uploaded.
