Hidden Honeycomb Light Box

This design was inspired by the hidden structures underneath the streets of Athens and also the [usually] hidden structures of 3D printed parts. Sometimes the structure the 3D printer creates internally is much more beautiful than the part created but is never seen. With this design a simple form becomes ever more interesting when you switch the light on. Care has been taken in the design of this item to use efficient use of material. This product has been designed for an E27 lampholder [40mm Diameter] if you can't find one of those let us know and we can supply you with an adapter plate/alter the design. We have tested this product for over a year with a 9W light bulb and there has been no deformation of the PLA. If you use PLA we wouldn't recommend going much higher than this. Also the dimensions of your chosen light bulb should not exceed 80mm Dia and in 120mm Length [Unless you scale up the file!].To complete this build you will need six 4mm Dia 16mm L wood screws. Printed with Satin Shine + Satin Salmon PLA [Real Filament] To print this design we used an Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer with a 0.4 mm nozzle [You can also use a 0.25mm or 0.6mm].
