HIFIMAN Ear Pad Mounting Ring

Ear pad mounting ring for Hifiman headphones. The model fits similarly to the original. The design is slightly different to the original due to the differences in material properties. This model is meant to be printed with PLA. Update: Improved clip strength.https://youtu.be/U6PyDouWe-E Print Settings Printer: Malyan M180 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 100 Micron Infill: 10% Post-Printing I used a thin X-Acto knife to remove the supports. How I Designed This I designed this because I managed to break one of the mounting ring on day one when I got the HIFIMAN HE-350 from Massdrop (Incredible Headphone BTW). After hours of looking for an aftermarket one on the internet and not able to find one (unless you buy a new set of pads), I decided to load up Solidworks and just make one myself. It took about eight test print until I got the correct fit. One of the struggle when designing this was to make it thick enough to print, but also flexible enough for easy removal. The second struggle was the clips. The slot on the headphone for the clip had a gap of around 0.6mm (measured using a feeler gauge), and it took many attempts to design clips that were thin enough to fit but also not snap after repeated use.
