Hijet Mini Truck Nylon Tie-Down Strap Holder

Nylon tie-down straps are required equipment in a pickup truck and need to be easily accessed, but there is very little storage space inside a mini truck. These two nylon strap holders are designed to make use of the back of the cab wall, behind the seats. The nylon tie down straps are conveniently located on the back wall of the cab, leaving room on the floor behind the seats for other necessities. There are two sizes of nylon strap holders. There is a strap holder for a 20 foot long nylon strap and another holder for two 9 foot long straps. Simply insert the end of the strap into the cam buckle to secure it and quickly roll the doubled 1" wide nylon strap around your hand, then drop the rolled strap into the strap holder. The strap holders are attached to the back wall of the cab with 25 mm diameter rare earth magnets, 3 mm or 4 mm thick. These are readily available on Amazon or eBay. The back of the holders are designed with a wedge shape that fits into the valleys of the strengthening ribs formed into the sheet metal. The FreeCAD files are also provided if you'd like to modify them by changing the size to fit straps of different length. The STL and FCstd files are also provided for just the base so you can create any holder you like. I prefer the nylon cam buckle straps from NRS. I carry four 20 foot straps and four 9 foot straps in my truck to accommodate a variety of loads. These nylon strap holders were designed specifically for the Daihatsu Hijet mini truck but should work well with any Japanese mini truck and probably any truck with a sheet metal surface where these holders can be mounted.
