Hiking pole camera mounting clip

Hiking pole camera mounting clip

This clip mounts on a Black Diamond hiking pole. The hole in the clip is for a standard thread for mounting a camera (screw not shown). The idea is to attach a camera at the end of the pole to enable taking selfies while backpacking or hiking. I will be mounting a Canon S95. The pole is tapered, so the clip is also tapered. Added a version that mounts at an angle to keep the hiking pole out of the picture. Update: I used the slanted one on a 5-day backpacking trip into Rocky Mountain National Park. It worked well enough. I need to ponder a mod that will lock in the camera pointing along the hiking pole. This version required some careful handling.
