Hiking Pole Yagi Antenna

Hiking Pole Yagi Antenna

This is an antenna build for those radio operators who like to reduce weight while operating VHF radio using a Yagi antenna. I created three 3D printed mounts that fit on a standard aluminum hiking pole. Using Arrow antenna elements (or other elements provided by the operator), a simple lightweight Yagi antenna can be created for back country VHF antenna use. Considering the operator will already have the hiking pole with them, the only additional weight is the elements. 3D printed mounts= 0.4 oz; Arrow antenna elements= 5.4 oz. 2021/3/19: Added new updated files. I updated the mounts to accommodate a hex nut that will allow for better securing on your hiking pole. I also changed the head insert to oval and increased the hole diameter to account for the fact that you will be using a hex nut.
