Hinged Box
thingiverse
I'm just a regular guy who put together this basic rectangular container. I created it using SketchUp to get some hands-on experience with the software and its capabilities in 3D design. I confess that I didn't come up with the entire hinge mechanism from scratch but instead modified something I found on SketchUp's 3D Warehouse so the box could print without any extra supports. It's also designed to be quite large, with thick walls to give it some heft. The plan is to use these as breakout containers for my students eventually, equipping them with metal latches that can be securely fastened.
