Hinged Pi Box
thingiverse
I had a lot of problems printing the original Pi Box from the Piclop Laser Scanner by FaanP due to excessive overhangs and very thin wall sections. To solve this, I remixed the box with thicker walls that are twice as wide, along with a lid that hinges together with small bolts and washers. Don't pay attention to the big chunks on my printed model - I went wild with massive supports after getting so frustrated with the original box, and I set the print distance too close so it turned out terrible. You will need to have supports on, particularly to support the Pi mounts. The arches can be cut out if they print wrong. I tested this project with a PI 2B. I moved the SD card slot 0.5mm and gave extra depth to the mounting holes for the Pi. Apart from that, this project is now complete.
