A hitch pin for hitch covers. Please do not use this pin for load bearing applications as it will fail. It is designed to hold light weight ornamental hitch covers only. It will fit perfectly into a 16mm hole on a 2" hitch. If you find your hitch has a larger hole, please write to me as I have an 18mm version I have not uploaded. After printing a hitch cover for my jeep, I realized there was no easy way to attach it to the Jeep. The most elegant way to attach a 3d printed cover is a 3d printed hitch pin! After a few variations, I found this design worked the best. I designed it to fully cover the threads, thus protecting them from road grime. The nut cap is deeper than the bolt threads. When installed, the nut cap will cover the threads. I use PETG with 100% infil. I print it a little hotter than normal (by about 5 degrees) as I want the layers to bond. This produces a pin secure enough to hold a hitch cover. After a full year of abuse, it still holds strong. Print one nut, one bolt, and optionally 2 washers. Have fun! Print Settings Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 100 Notes: I find PETG at 100% infil to be string enough to hold a hitch cover. Therefore, I recommend 100% and .2mm resolution.
