This is the the plate I designed to strap a battery on my tricopter that I'm building. It allows the battery to be mounted underneath the frame, leaving more space for flight controller, power distribution and other hardware one would like to have. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Migbot Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15mm per layer, 3 perimeters Infill: 60...100% Post-Printing Securing the battery in place In order to stop battery wiggling and sliding around when attached with a single strap, stick/sew on a piece of velcro on the plate (see the photo). I left the holes in the middle of a plate for this exact purpose. Don't repeat my own mistakes though, and don't attach a single large piece of velcro on the battery, otherwise you'll have a hard time detaching it from your tricopter. Instead, attach a couple of smaller bits on the both ends just enough to give it a grip to not wiggle. Landing gear modification In order to strap in a battery that is longer than the plate, you have to attach your landing gear with countersunk screws (see the photo). Regular screws stick out too much and poke the battery, and you don't want that.
