This is the second project I post online, is still a WIP, but already with very nice looks, in my opinion, therfore I decided to put it online.
My firsrt model can be seen here:
https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/5851-h0-187-scale-db-hopper

This new model is based on the HO scale model 302904 from LIMA SHELL tank car.
Note that only the frame and tank is providede at this point, the bogies are still not included in the model as I had no time yet to print them and test if all is ok, for measures, tolerances and clearances.
Later I intend to update with a fully tesed bogies models for download.
On the pictures I show the car using 2 original LIMA bogies from my original SHELL tank that was broken more than 30 years ago when I was a kid...
So this is is again a time for nostalgia and revival of one of my favourite toys from childhood.

Version Update (12/08/2020):
Finally I was able to complete the model and now it has a full 3D printable bogie truck set.
The link for the trucks is here:
https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/38201-ho-187-scale-bogie-truck-set
I add also the files for the decals print.

Print instructions

The model is composed of the several parts printed in PLA on a 0,2mm layer height.
I broke the print into several parts to have a good compomise between getting the relevant details printed but to avoid a lot of small suport building. Also because the wagon has only 2 colors I tried also to print them in a way to paint them individually. Of couse the parts can be printed on the final colors using the the right filament colors and avoid the paint part.
For the tank I provide 2 options of prinying method, one full piece that requires some printing support, and antonher that splits the tank into several pieces that can be glued. On both options is higly recomended to use boddy putty, in my case I used Revell Plasto, to remove printing lines and some imperfections. To achieve the best finishing result both tank options should have this step done.

For those interested in paintng I used the fallowing Revell Enamel colours:
Base structure - Black SM 302 (RAL 9005)
Tank - Yellow SM 32310 (Lufthansa Yellow) (RAL 1028)

This model uses decals for the logo.
I made the decals by taking the logo from internet and the letering label on Word aproaching the leter type, size and back colors to the ones in the original LIMA tank car.
The water decal paper used was aquiered from Amazon for the tank logo and letering is used the transparent type. For the black panel will be used white background type (still not done yet).
I used one thecnique that uses spray varnish to seal the print prior apply the decals. The decals can be applyed with water, but to achieve best result I used Microscale Micro SET and MIcro SOL. All these products and techiniques can be found easly by googling them online. But any question our doubt just shoot...
