HO/OO Rail Painting Mask

This is a simple paint mask that you clip onto your HO or OO model track. It then allows you to paint the sides of your rails (inner and outer sides) without getting paint all over the sleepers or ballast. It should work equally well with airbrush or with a small paint brush. Simple enough idea but the various bevels I have designed in give you the proper 'look in' to be able to paint the sides of your rails hopefully without too much fuss. The mask tool should slide along the track as you paint - you will notice there are two block shapes at either end - these slot between the rails and act as a guide. I envisage painting the outside of one rail for a couple of feet, then working back hitting the other rail on the second pass, then a third and fourth pass to do the insides of the rails. After that move on down the line and repeat. In addition to the V2 files I have now also included V3 files which is a slightly longer mask shape that includes slots on either side which will take a piece of card to act as a backstop to minimizing over spray.(I have tested it with a business card and it works good.)
