HO Scale Freight Unloading Station

HO Scale Freight Unloading Station

thingiverse

This is a small freight unloading station, which is designed to be used with any of Tyco’s old push button unloading buildings. This one is specifically set up to be used with the boxcar unloader. The speed that the boxes get kicked out kept overshooting the bin where they are supposed to land, so I designed this to consolidate them and add a nicer look on my layout. Some boxes may bounce back but it does a nice job sending 85% of them down the ramp. This took me a couple of days to design, print, and test so I haven’t had a chance to add too many details into it. This is the first design that I’ve posted, and I hope that anyone using old Tyco sets for their layout can enjoy it too. Some notes on specific dimensions of a few of the parts that must fit together - Door and roof are .2mm smaller than the openings. They required some sanding to fit. - There are notches inside the building for the roof piece to rest on. - Window inserts are .4mm smaller than the openings and fit in without sanding. (in my picture I had only printed one of the frames but the file comes with two identical frames to print) - The Warehouse door is simply glued to the side. It does not move and is just for decoration
