HO Scale Water Tower for Narrow Gauge Railroad (e.g. HOn30 RR)

HO Scale Water Tower for Narrow Gauge Railroad (e.g. HOn30 RR)

cults3d

This small water tower is based upon the photographic record of the actual tower on the Dismal Swamp narrow gauge logging RR at Benefit in Norfolk County, Virginia 100 years ago. Norfolk County is now the City of Chesapeake. The Benefit water tower is somewhat unique in that the spout articulates partway up its length rather than at the tank end. This water tower works exceptionally well on an HOn30 model railroad. This model is in kit form and offers the builder the option of either an open or a closed top tank. The open tank uses a different spout hoist frame and gauge pulleys. Pay attention to the file names which denote the open tank if you are building this option. Sewing thread is an optional addition to add that extra dose of realism to simulate cables. Secure with CA glue at the ends.
