HO Slot Car Track Supports

This design provides track supports to raise two or four lane (i.e. two parallel two lane sections) HO slot car track. Each track support is compose of a beam (2 or 4 lane) and two bases. There are two beams for two lane tracks (i.e. SupporttBeam2.stl and SupportBeam2OU.stl), where on beam is wide enough to allow an over/under track configuration. The STL file SupportBeam4.stl is used for four lane tracks. The bases can be printed for a variety of heights.The OpenSCAD design file is provided which can allow for some simple variations to the design. Important: Tyco track has a slightly different cross section (76mm x 7mm instead of 75mm x 6mm), so a separate SCAD and STL files are provided for the beams. STL files have been generated for the support beams and base sections of various heights. The STL file SupportBase0.stl will raise the track 1/2 inch. SupportBase1.stl will raise it 3/4 inch, and the remaining sequence of files will each raise an additional 1/4 inch. Typically you would only need to use four supports (e.g. base STL files ending in 0, 2, 4, 6) for a good crossover. In the SCAD file, the 'pillar' parameter is used to control the height of the support bases. To print the desired support: 1. Set the 'pillar' variable to a value that indicates the height to be added (e.g. 0.0, 0.25, 0.5, ...) to the minimum support height of 0.5 inches 2. Comment out the parts not to be printed at the end of the file The footing parameter can also be modified to chane the width of the footings on the base supports.
