Hobby Machine Vise
thingiverse
You can build a simple machine vise using leftover aluminum extrusion. To make it work, you will need the same extrusion profile. To get started, you'll need to print out four parts: *Moving_Jaw.stl*, *Jaw.stl*, *Fixed_post.stl*, and *Handle.stl*. You'll also need: * 270mm of 30 "I-type" 60x120mm profile aluminum extrusion. This will give you a 100mm jaw opening, but you can use longer extrusion for a bigger opening. * 14 M5x35mm socket head screws (DIN912/ISO4762) * 4 M5 nuts for the aluminum extrusion * 1 M6X10-28mm countersunk socket head (DIN7991/ISO10642) * At least 190mm of M16 threaded rod (DIN975/ISO whatever), which is suitable for a 100mm jaw opening. For a bigger opening, you'll need a longer rod. * 1 M16 nut (DIN934/ISO4032)
