This is an adapter to allow you to mount an outrunner to the brushed motor mount that came with the plane. The X portion allows just about any outrunner to be used that mounts with a X mount. The replacement motor that will be used is a Common Sense RC E5-M-14. Designed using DesignSpark Mechanical. The design was completed in 3 hours which included downloading the software, installing it, watching a couple of tutorial videos and then designing the part. Instructions Printed with PLA. .1mm layers 100% infill. Use self tapping (sheet metal) screws to attach the motor. Socket head screws are best. Be careful when drilling the motor mount holes in the PLA. Size the drill bit to the shank of the self tapping screw so that only the threads engage into the plastic. Advance the drill into the PLA about 1/16 (2mm) at a time. Otherwise the drill bit can melt the plastic and then become a permanent part of the motor mount !
