This motor mount replaces the stock mount included with the Hobbyking Swamp Dawg Airboat. It enables the fitment of any motor that conforms to the 16/19 screw pattern for fitment. This mount in particular is designed specifically to accommodate a 2205 size miniquad motor, such as the Emax RS2205 or similar. Although the main mounting area of the part is 10mm thick, I have recessed the mounting holes at the rear so you will require M3x8 screws which will be flush or deeper once the motor is attached. You WILL need to disassemble the motor mount uprights in order to get them oriented as shown in the pictures. This is because the motor does not fit in between the motor mount support brackets. This part is raised in order to provide prop clearance of the uprights, and places the prop directly in the centre of the protective cage. 20% infill will provide plenty of strength, however it is only a small part so feel free to print at 100% infill if you like. I print this with rigid.ink PLA at 205 degrees, on a glass bed with masking tape applied, heated to 60 degrees. The recessed holes at the rear of the mount need supports, else the printer will attempt to print circles in thin air. These supports easily come away from the print. Adjust your personal print settings accordingly for your choice and brand of filament.
