Hoberman Sphere

Hoberman Sphere

thingiverse

Hobermans Sphere designed by Johan Wood in Norway. I got the files from the Amsterdam Fablab website (http://fablab.waag.org/) changed them to fit our 5mm MDF and put it on our site (http://fablab.ccsti-grenoble.org/node/33) but I figured it should also be found here for it is awsome. Instructions Get the PDF that tells you how many of each piece you need, and lasercut them. I've been able to use 3 sheets of 5mm MDF to cut all the parts in our Epilog EXT 36. When building the sphere, note that the hubs have lines engraved on them. These lines should be facing TOWARDS the other hub (check the picture). Start with the piece shown in the picture on the table, and work on from that, always forming hexagons and triangles (it's a icosidodecahedron, basically) Upload your pictures if you made one!
