This is a WIP that I am designing to take to the Boundary waters in northern Minnesota. It is an ultra-compact and light-weight alternative to a folding or static fishing rod and reel. Portaging fishing poles is a PITA, and folding rods take up a lot of space/weight in the pack. This reel is hollow with a tight fitting cap, ideally big enough to hold all the necessary tackle for a trip.
