Hofner Icon/Ignition Mounting Ring for German Pickups

This is a mounting ring I designed for my hofner ignition to support the german pickup found on the $2000+ basses made in Germany. I had originally designed my Hofner to glue in a wood support piece in the cavity made for the chinese pickup in the bass. That didn't work too well as the low E and A would sometimes hit the pickup. I've since then created a few designed and found this to be the best fitting in the same area. This requires no redrilling of any holes. Simply pop off the base and this will fit on top of the existing screw holes. You do need to purchase some screws for this. This is what I used 8 #4 screws 4 #4 wood screws, I used a height of 5/8th inches but found that too tall. 1/2 an inch should fit better. 4 #4 machine screws, You want machine screws for the side screws to not damage the pickup. I used a height of 3/4 inches and found that tall as well. Use 5/8th or 1/2 inch.
