Hold Down Bar - Medium, low profile tip

With my Shapeoko 3, I wanted a version of these hold downs that didn't go as high above the material, as they interfere with my dust collection shoe. This is my attempt to solve that problem. If there is interest, I'll try to repeat the remix with the short and long versions of the hold-down bar. I usually use the medium one, so I don't need the others. EDIT: As commented on in the comments section, the original design de-laminated after about a year of use. I've re-designed for my purposes. This new one is smaller, using less plastic, but doesn't have as much of a lip to delaminate (I believe). These in PLA have a slight flex in them as well, which works well for me. I position properly, and flex until the flat part is just about flat, and I feel I have enough pressure. Check back in a year to see if this one also fails on me. Whenever I really need a strong hold-down, I use the original ones I derived this design from. How I Designed This This is my first attempt at a remix, so who knows if I'm doing it right. I used Fusion 360 to import the original and cut away part, then exported to stl. I'm not yet sure how to get to the .dwg file in Fusion, but I'll add it when I do. Oddly, when importing the original .dwg into Fusion 360, it became 10x too large, so I had to scale it down. Then I rotated it to the proper orientation for printing and exported it as stl. The second design (now listed as the first file) was an almost complete re-build in Fusion 360. I copied out the tapers from the original designs so that the teeth match properly. Works great for me.. hope you have the same luck. Perhaps someday I'll add images.
