Holders for iPhone and Samsung phone

thingiverse

We were playing with our new drone, a DJI Spark. We had an iPhone 6 and a Samsung Galaxy phone. We found this holder on Thingiverse, but it was too big for my printer, which is only a ProFab mini (same as MonoPrice Select Minin), so I started playing around with it. I cut the base away, then made horizontal and vertical pieces to hold the phones. The vertical piece slots into a box at the back of the base. It is slightly loose, so I wrapped one layer of duct tape around it, and it has just the right fit and friction. The first iteration was for the iPhone. The two pieces are glued together, and the phone slots in by springing the horizontal bar back. The second one is for the Samsung; slide the phone between the top and bottom flanges of the vertical piece, then slide the horizontal bar down behind the phone to lock it in place. This was all done on TinkerCad, and I have made the files public, so they will be easy to adjust for any other size device. I saved them all in one file here to make it simpler, but was then asked for separate files, so there are also now five files, one for each item.
