Work in Progress! Those who have a M3D (I have one, but it is not working, will be returned for repairs) may have the problen that they want to use own / other filament than the M3D-Stock. No problem, but if they want to use it in the internal compartment under the printbed... Well... Where to get spools and not buying from M3D LLC? Simple! Make your own! The diameter of those spools was measured to be 120mm. Hm... Where did i saw this size and form last? RIGHT! CD's and DVD's! The same diameter! So i just whipped up some sort of spool-core to add a CD on top and at the bottom, some glue and presto! Things i tryed to incorporate: A large enough space to glue the center to the CD's: a rim of 0.5cm should suffice both filamentsizes of 1.75mm (M3D-Diameter) and 3.0mm have 4 holes each to "start" the winding Be printable with low amount of filament, but be stury: 2mm walls & staged design lowest winding-diameter of filament > 40mm due to breaking-prone PLA if wound smaller Print Settings Printer: M3D Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: Low. Used 0.2mm Infill: Not needed Notes: Supports only needed from buildplate up. Internal: None How I Designed This I got asked By request, here is the version for motorised winding with a electric drill or similar in 1/4-Inch-, 6mm- and 8mm-hex-Versions
