The very first thing that happened trying to assemble a new plastic HDX shelf from Home Depot was that the foot, necessary for leveling the shelf and maintaining fit of the columns, shattered into a zillion pieces. Not wanting to waste time either ordering a new one (which they'll send, free) or going back to home depot, I printed one while I did other stuff. Works just fine. I printed at .3mm layer height just to make things fast - dimensional accuracy and finish I don't think is too critical here.
