This is a simple design of an Anemometer which is mainly made from materials left over from other projects. The cups are from £1 toys that are packaged in 65mm spheres. (Hence the pretty colours) Rotor mount and hub are turned from solid PVC. Rotor arms are PVC tube. Motor mounting bracket is scrap 1.2mm ali sheet. Motor from Greenweld (UK). Motor shaft adaptor is scrap ali bar. Bearings are purchased. Anemometer head to mounting post connection is a modified household waste pipe fitting. Mounting post is 50mm waste pipe. (Full length not shown in model). The whole project has cost under £10. It is almost build and is still to be tested. If it works ok, I will be building a further 2.
