This bracket allows mounting of a 30 cal ammo can below the bed of a Honda Acty for storage. The TPU insert ensures a tight fit and can be resized for perfect fitment. You could possibly get away with using a rigid material, but I didn't try. I used a Harbor Freight ammo can, but you could probably use any .30 cal box. I painted mine black and removed the unnecessary handles. You have to drill two holes for the outer M6 bolts, and a central one for the M12 bolt. I'm not sure how other boxes work, but the lid of the HF box slides off the hinges. The required orientation of the box (latch forward) means the lid can slide down off the hinges if you're not careful when opening the box. Friction holds it in place fairly well, but ideally the lid would detach in the other direction or not detach at all. Other ammo boxes might work this way, but I don't know. Install: You need to install an M12 rivnut in the hole on the truck in order to bolt the bracket and box in place, and you need two M6 nuts and bolts to secure the box to the bracket. Attach the bracket to the box with M6 hardware with the thicker side of the bracket facing up, then bolt the assembly into the rivnut on the Acty.
