Component colors can be mixed and matched. This was a project to see how well separate pieces interconnect when designed and printed with zero clearance. I built one to test this theory and with minor sanding and filing for print imperfections it did assemble snuggly together without the need for adhesives. From this project I was able to conclude that in order to print a similar object for assembly with less post processing a very minor clearance would be necessary but may sacrifice the ability to have the components hold together so closely without the use of adhesives.
