Honda Sun Visor Fix

Honda Sun Visor Fix

Honda has been having issues with sun visors for several years and unfortunately visor of 2016 Civic has design flaws as well. The mounting arm of the visor is so loose that, when the visor is turned along the door, during a sharp left turn, it may hit driver's head (happened to me few times). IMHO, this may even cause an accident if the driver does not expect such hit. In Honda Service center I was told that there is no way to fix it - nothing to tighten, so I decided to come up with my own 3d printed solution. It may work for other Honda models as well. I removed driver's hand grip (which is useless in my opinion) and replaced it with visor clip. Since the grip has 2 mounting points, I designed cover for one of them and attached the clip to another. Images show how it all came together. Unfortunately this solution does not allow to adjust visor position along the door, but the clip is far back enough to well protect from the side sunlight. I'd be happy to see remixes of this design addressing this limitation. Parts You will need one 4mm self-locking nut and three M4x20mm screws - two should have hex socket cups and one should have hex head.
